Dylan Gossett Lights Up the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis with Unforgettable Energy
Breakout “Coal” artist and rising country star Dylan Gossett brought down the house at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis on Thursday, October 16th, delivering a performance that left no doubt: he’s more than a one hit wonder.
Going into the show, I wasn’t fully prepared for the level of energy Gossett and his fans would bring — but the second he stepped on stage, harmonica in hand, the room lit up.
Standout tracks like “Coal” — the viral hit that launched him into the spotlight — and “Beneath the Oak Trees” were obvious fan favorites, ringing familiar from their massive traction on social media. But it was Gossett’s songwriting that truly impressed me. With raw, heartfelt lyrics and a narrative style that channels the spirit of Zach Bryan, his music feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. His fans and the crowd definitely felt it as well.
Gossett’s band members — Colton Hardy, Max Lang, Evan Snoey, Justin Babineaux, and his brother Blake Gossett — matched his every move with amazing musicianship. Their chemistry on stage was real — showcasing not just technical skill, but a shared passion for Dylan’s music and storytelling as an artist. Although Blake was the only biological brother of Dylan’s, the entire band felt like family, and you could feel that bond in the room. Their connection went beyond the music; it was in the way they played off each other and brought a genuineness to the stage.
